Finish Part 2: 15:30 approx at Shapwick Heath.

Focus Part 1: Honeygar – Joe will escort us around the site and we should meet volunteers who carry out various species surveys and monitor water levels and climatic impacts of work being carried out as part of the wetting and rewilding. Uneven walking on grass/peat. Toilets on site.
Focus Part 2: Shapwick Heath – insects and birds, hopefully Bearded Reedling, egrets and herons. Interesting wetland flora including in wooded areas.

We will have a picnic lunch at the Centre (toilets and café). At approximately 13:00 we will walk the short distance along the road to explore part of Shapwick Heath NNR.
