Focus: Trees
Description: Approximate 2.5 mile route, threading together several footpaths and open spaces, including the Tumps, Rush Hill Open Space, Wansdyke and St. Martin’s Hospital. The route contains a good variety of native and exotic trees, sometimes in unexpected places, and will be published as one of Bath Urban Treescape’s portfolio of tree trails later in 2026.
Terrain/Accessibility: Footpaths and pavements, with a rather tight squeeze-gate on exiting the Tumps.
Note: Bath Urban Treescape will be losing its funding from Bathscape at the end of 2025. Hugh would be pleased to receive donations from Bath Nats members to enable the printing of tree trail maps in 2026 and beyond.
