Walk includes a small nature reserve (former reservoir) where there are likely to be dragonflies. Migrant and resident birds possibly including warblers.\nDescription: Generally level walking along valley floor\, but some gentle ascents (including steps) taking in Solsbury Hill. Greyfield Wood lies on the Coal Measures\, so has more acidic soils than many other woods around Bath. There are areas of ancient woodland and conifer plantation\, so we should see a good range of fungi. Paths are good\, but often muddy. Stout boots or wellingtons are recommended and please bring a packed lunch and hand sanitiser. \nPlease book with Helena in advance.
