Or park near the church at Newton St Loe and walk into the campus.
Focus: General interest
Description: Darrell will open the moth trap and show us the moths captured the night before. A guided tour of the site will take place and Darrell will also give some history about the Capability Brown landscaped park and buildings. It is a peak time for hoverflies, bees, dragonflies, and butterflies. We should see many species including wildflowers planted into created banks, and wildlife ponds created for the Great Crested Newt. An Emerald Damselfly (Lestes sponsa) was found at the wildlife ponds last year.

Please book with the Leader in advance. Members can find contact details in their Spring/Summer 2024 newsletter. This has several benefits for all meetings: the Leader is aware who is coming and can deal with any queries before the meeting (such as car-sharing, if required); in the unlikely event that arrangements need to change or the meeting has to be cancelled, attendees can all be contacted promptly and easily.
If you have booked but then are unable to attend, please contact the leader as soon as possible. The leader can then contact other members if there is a waiting list.
